Welcome to the 1998 Workshop on Youth Involvement and Community Development.  Your presence and participation in such numbers can only mean that the Vietnamese Canadian community is thriving and seeks to constantly renew itself.  The organizing committee is hopeful that each and every participant will find in this event a stimulating and enriching experience in self-expression, in sharing, and networking.  This Workshop is your event and its success and outcome will depend on your input and contribution.   

The strength of Vietnamese Canadian youths lies in their resourcefulness, their diversity, and their sense of cultural distinctiveness.  Let us build on our heritage and our success to make every challenge an opportunity for growth and every accomplishment a meaningful expression of Canada's multicultural identity.
